South West Region - CarerLink
What is CarerLink ?
SouthWest CarerLink is a service that provides a co-ordinated and responsive
network of services and carers. The program has three components:
- Carer Support Program
- Respite Co-ordination Program
- Carer Resource Program
Carer Support Program
Carer Support Workers provide support, information and referral to carers
of people over 65 years who are frail, have a chronic illness or dementia.
Services can be arranged and discretionary funding is available to provide
short term assistance.
Respite Co-ordination Program
This program can assist carers, or agencies acting for carers, to gain access
to appropriate respite services, including both in-home and facility based respite
and also recreational activities.
A comprehensive directory of respite providers in the South West is also available.
Carer Resource Program
The Carer Resource Program is responsible for the development of regional
support systems for carers. It also provides information and referral to community
support services.
